Dog sleepingChinese clock

This is a representation of the Chinese organ clock. It shows the flow of energy, qi (chi) through each organ system in two-hour increments.

Each 2 hour increment is associated with a specific organ system. Every 24 hours, the body’s energy (qi) completes a cycle. Each organ system is associated with specific functions as well as emotions.

11 pm to 1 am is the time of the Gallbladder. The Gallbladder is in charge of decision making and self esteem as well as storing bile to digest fats.

It’s very helpful to be resting while the Gallbladder recharges for optimal clear thinking and self image!

I fluxuate in phases of going to sleep before and after 11:00 pm. This is a great reminder as to why I could really benefit!

  • Interesting! The body has its own clock! So organized 🙂

    • LOL Yes, I even just read an article about how the structure of tears as seen under a microscope is different based on the sentiment. I’d want more research first but it does make sense.

      • I think I saw that in Facebook! It’s weird though how they categorized the emotions. Did they make the subjects angry or sad or whatever? Haha! But it’s an interesting study 🙂

        • Yes, it is an interesting thought but I think it needs more development in the study! 🙂

          • Oh I hope you can help me.. I have just set up my blog over at and I hope you can visit and let me know what you think! 🙂

          • It looks awesome! I will check it out more later today. Please let me know any very specific questions you have about design, setup, links, etc. if you like! LOVE your photos in the tropics!!! XO

    • LOL I’m running off to bed too! My husband already went up! I’m in trouble! 😉

I try to get to sleep by 10pm every night, but sometimes I just can’t put down whatever book I’m reading!

    • OMG! You all are amazing! I totally have a struggle transitioning to bedtime. I need to do it in long segments. I start to wind down around 8!

  • I had no idea! This is cool and informative. I try to be in bed by 9:30 or 10! P.S. LOVE The new header

    • DANG! That is awesome! I wish I were that disciplined! You are another person who is a Super Woman, so this makes sense! Thank you-I was painting and I liked it! 🙂

  • that’s so interesting! i’m almost always asleep before 11 pm too!

  • So this might explain why I always feel so crappy when I go to sleep after 11 and always feel much better when I fall asleep earlier… yikes! I was just saying to my boyfriend yesterday that I need to work on getting more sleep, and then I read this post. Confirmation! haha!

    • Totally, right? I feel LOADS better when sleeping before 11. It does take a a while to get back into the swing of it once I stray! Here’s to earlier bed times for all!

  • I am LOVING learning all of these things from you!

  • This is so neat!!

    • Meg! So glad you like it. There is so much cool info out there!
