Happy Friday! Here are the top 5!

1. A friend told me about the store Black Ink in Pacific Palasades as a good gift shop. I found a couple things for my friends who are throwing the shower this weekend.

The store clerk told me how her husband was One Republic’s first manager and lots of other interesting little band facts. I love LA.

2. If I had a stalker, he/she could find me here…Primo’s donuts. They make HUGE vanilla frosted old fashioned donuts. I’m not going to give you another photo of these donuts…it’s been too recent since the last. Yes, if you look closely, you can see my reflection…wearing my workout clothes.

3. The Boston Marathon took place this week. Our friend’s sister, Kerry, was there last year, only about a mile from the finish line when she was told to leave the course for safety reasons shortly after the bombings. Well, she was determined to go back and she completed the marathon this week 4 hours 20 minutes and 8 seconds!

We got to attend her fundraiser a couple of weekends ago and she had incredible community support. Here’s Kerry on the left and her SIL Jessica (who did a lot of the coordination) on the right.

4. I get to see my sister this weekend! We’re having some QT in San Diego and a little time in LA.

5. Chris made me breakfast on my birthday. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen hime cook! It was INCREDIBLE. I can’t believe he was hiding these talents from me.

Hope your weekend is awesome!

Linking up with The Lauren Elizabeth!

  • the donuts sound amazing! so jelly.

    • Oh, I know THE donut spot in every city I go to! LOL My fave.

  • Donuts! Oh gosh, I wish we had good donuts here in Sweden. I mean they’re okay, but nothing like the ones in the states 🙂 maybe I should skip that road trip I Europe just to go over and get some good donuts 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful weekend Christina!

    • I wonder what a Swedish donut tastes like!!?? Donuts could get me to alter my travel plans. LOL. I do go to Europe for food!!! 🙂 Hope your weekend was amazing!

soooo I’ve been reading all my blogs via bloglovin’ on my phone for a long time and apparently I totally missed your super cute layout change! Lovin’ it. And GO KERRY! What an inspiration. I can’t even imagine running a marathon once, forget about going back after last year. What a scary day.

    • Oh thank you so much! I’m tinkering again! I know, Kerry is pretty amazing and SUPER nice! She was so dedicated and did so well. I’m totally inspired as well. 🙂 I did add a mobile device option to my blog if you ever go to it directly. Always learning new things! Have a great weekend!!

  • I’m so not up on American music but I do love One Republic! Have an awesome time with your sister and enjoy the shower Christina!

    Rowena @ rolala loves

    • You know, that band is so popular but I still totally love them! My sister is here and we’re watching Shark Tank together in the living room. Life is great! Hope you have a beautiful weekend, Rowena!!! Thank you!

  • BlushandBarbells

I had to look up One Republic cuz I didn’t even know it was a band. I’m so out of it.
    Have a great weekend!

    • HA! I totally love them. Everyone has celebrity stories here in LA. Love ’em! LOVE that you didn’t know who they were! I feel like that about stuff a lot!

  • Jessica

Donuts are a serious weakness of mine. Whenever I visit a new city/town I am like “where can I find the best donuts?” Have fun with your sister and happy weekend.

    • OH, JESSICA!!! DONUTS! My total weakness. I’m the same, I find my donut spot in every town I live in/visit! In Seattle, it was these vegan donuts. Small, cake-like, moist and the BEST frosting. They are called Mighty O’s….oh wowo.:) Have a great weekend!!!

  • Have a GREAT time with your sister girl!! Happy weekend 🙂

    • Thank you, lady! It’s already so great and getting better!!! XO

  • Pamela Bannon

Have fun with your sis! I hope you had a fab birthday! xo

  • Girl, your posts always crack me up… a stalker could find you at the donut shop?! haha!! I can’t believe your hubby was hiding cooking skills from you! Sounds like he owes you a few more meals, especially post baby… 😉 I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the time with your sister!! xoxo

    • LOL Yes, a donut shop. I used to get the donut shop in San Diego by my house to open up after hours if I could get someone’s attention as I jumped around outside. You know, they’re in there baking at all odd hours. I know, I have faith that we aren’t going to starve when the baby comes now. Thank you! Hope your weekend is wonderful too!!

      • Oh my gosh, you are TOO funny- I can totally picture you flagging them down!! 🙂

  • Krista Williams

Love that you have a mobile layout now! It was so much easier to scroll through. One Republic is one of my husband and my favorite bands. We bought tickets in February to see them in concert in August with the Script (my other favorite non-country band)! You have officially made me crave donuts again this morning…thanks for that. Haha

    • Oh thank you for noticing, Krista! I’m still trying to make improvements. I am so glad for the feedback. I know, One Republic. So great. She was saying how her husband and the main guy went to school together in Oklahoma. Interesting stuff. I feel like People Magazine is everywhere here in LA. Fun. 🙂 Have a great weekend…stopping by the donut shop.mWHAHAHAHHH
