I want to invite you to a beach bonfire where I will be incinerating my Target tank tops and 2 black skirts AKA my signature new-mom wardrobe. Ha!

You know it’s always fun to shop for shoes, hats and JEWELRY in any situation!!!! Suzie of Rossmore LA (former post of Rossmore LA) was in my neighborhood this week. Check out her Instagram to see what’s new or back to stock.

I also got to meet her friend, Courtney, owner/creator/designer of Maison du Soir, luxury loungewear, who you can find on Nordstrom.com

This of course got me SUPER excited about having my own business again and Chris gave me an idea of what might be a good fit. Can you guess??? Happy Monday!!!

Sleep Camel

HAPPINESS / Uncategorized

Cowboy Hat BabyWouldn’t it be cool to be able to store things up the way a camel stores water in the desert? I’d be a sleep camel.

Our little home is coming along. I carry the baby around like a marsupial while doing those Playboy Bunny waitress moves (where you bend at the knees and swivel at the waist as if there is a book on your head) while doing laundry and unpacking boxes.  Only I’m wearing my ninja outfit again. Sometimes I outsmart the baby by waking at 4:45 and sneak out of bed to do chores.

Once in a while I research non-toxic baby cribs and then try to find one on Craigslist.

The only complaint I have…I want to do MORE!!!!!! S-a-t-i-s-f-a-c-t-i-o-n! That’s what I live for!! That and credit for finding the best donuts in every town.

Speaking of sweets…Trader Joe’s Carrot Cake (freezer section) is what we enjoy after 9:00 p.m. every night while watching old episodes of Homeland in bed. Is anyone watching this show??!!! LOVE IT. I have to say it would be more convincing if Brody had a real Marine haircut. Womp (new word from sister-in-law)!

I just realized it’s my mom’s birthday-the first one of two that she has. AH!

What kind of camel would you be? Happy Monday!!!! Grant’s wearing his great grandpa’s hat.

My Pumpkin

Pumpkin Painting Party Pumpkin Painting Pumpkin Painting Pumpkin Painting Pumpkin PaintingP1010079-3Oh…paralell park  a 17,000 ton U.S. Navy Warship at a pier, plan a party for 2000 people from 14 different countries, treat one of the most influential people in medicine with acupuncture or have dinner with Jessica Beil and company? No big deal….but hang out with ladies to decorate a pumpkin… PARALYZING.

Cindi had her annual pumpkin decorating party recently and aside from the moldy themed (trying to look “whitewashed”) pumpkin I made, I had a great time.  I’m in a maternal panic for some creativity to show my kid some magic one day. I’m off to a rocky start. Next year, Cindi. Next year I’ll be ready. Mwahahahahahah

Kelly’s family introduced us to the petting zoo (with pony rides and gold panning) in San Juan Capistrano by the train station this weekend.

Kelly said the animals are fed so much that they don’t even care about food. One of the guinie pigs “porpied” (as in porpoise flopped) his way onto the food tray and used it as a bed. Chris said we were going to lie down all over the cinnamon rolls we took to go from brunch once we got home. Kelly’s husband looked down at the straw floor of the animal pen and said he could nap right there. Right then.

I’m drinking more coffee these days. It’s a matter of safety.
